Piccolini® Mini Farfalle with Kale, Italian Sausage and Butternut Squash

Ingredients

1 boxBARILLA Piccolini® Mini Farfalle
2 tablespoonsolive oil
12 teaspoongarlic, minced
1/2 poundItalian sausage
1 small bunchkale, stems removed and chopped
2 cupsbutternut squash, diced
1/2 cupchicken broth
to tastesalt
to tastefreshly ground black pepper


BRING a large and a small pot of salted water to a boil.
COOK diced butternut squash in the salted water for 2 minutes. Drain and set aside.
HEAT olive oil in a skillet, add garlic and cook until slightly yellow about 3 minutes.
ADD crumbled Italian sausage and cook through.
ADD butternut squash and kale and cook for 2 minutes, season with salt and pepper.
ADD chicken broth and continue cooking until liquid is reduced by half.
COOK Piccolini Mini Farfalle according to package directions. Drain. Toss pasta with the sauce mixture and serve
