Campanelle with Pasnips, Green Olives, Italian Sausage and Ground Beef

Ingredients

1 boxBARILLA Campanelle
3 tablespoonsolive oil
2 clovesgarlic
2 eachparsnips, sliced in half moon shapes
½ poundItalian sausage
½ poundground beef
1 can (15 ounces)San Marzano tomatoes
¼ cupgreen olives, chopped
½ cupPecorino Romano cheese, grated


BRING a large pot of salted water to a boil.
SAUTÉ the whole garlic clove in the olive oil until golden yellow.
ADD the parsnips and cook for 3 minutes until golden brown.
ADD the beef and Italian sausage; cook for 5 minutes making sure to break up all the sausage and ground beef with a spoon.
POUR in the tomatoes and chopped green olives; continue cooking 5 minutes.
COOK Campanelle according to the package directions. Drain and toss with sauce.
STIR in the grated cheese before serving
